Course Description

BEGINNING / INTERMEDIATE BAND (10 Credits) Grades 9-10
Prerequisite: Permission of teacher and/or audition; and/or recommendation of middle school teacher
HS (d), (g), or (h); CSU / UC (f)

Open to all ninth and tenth grade students who play a traditional band instrument or to any student wishing to learn a band instrument. During the fall, this band will combine with the Advanced Band to form the marching band. After the marching band season is over, this band will stress basic concepts of tone production and instrumental techniques. Attendance and participation at all performances is required.
