Boosters:

The Los Alamitos High School Band Boosters is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization that provides financial and volunteer support for the Band, Drumline and Color Guard.  With all booster parents and supporters contributing, we are able to provide the funds needed to offer a variety of quality programs.  We encourage each and every family to participate in the many fundraisers, and to volunteer to work in our major fundraiser, Bingo (which is a weekly event all year long), at least 10 hours per trimester (July-Oct, Nov-Feb, Mar-June). Participation in the fundraisers also allows you to “pay down” your fair share without actually writing a check.  Throughout the year, there are several fundraisers that allow a portion of the profit from each event to be deposited directly into your fair share account.  Our first event will begin in July (Football Mania Tickets) and is a great way to start paying down your account before the season even starts.  Fundraising events continue throughout the year, and require all booster families to participate in order to be profitable!

ANNOUNCEMENTS

We are very pleased to announce the 2010/11 Booster Board Positions.  A special thank you goes out to each of the new (and returning) members for their time and commitment to the program.   As we will start the transition early (secondary to outgoing senior parents), please look for emails and announcements from each of these new members in the months to come.

In addition to the above noted elected board positions, Tim Powers has agreed to continue as a committee member for "band transportation manager."  We will be in need of a chairperson for Taste 4 Los Al and Cow Chip Bingo, as well as a "restaurant fundraising chair." Each of these positions have notebooks and prior committee members who are willing to share their knowledge and thoughts for each of the events. Please consider one of these positions, and contact either Cathy Lewis or Christy Coats for further information.
