Concert Bands
The Los Alamitos High School Entertainment Unit wind
players (brass and woodwinds) convert to 2 Concert Bands during the 2nd semester: Wind Symphony (Per. 4 - Advanced Band) and
Symphonic Band (Per. 5 - Intermediate Band). Both groups participate/perform in a few SCSBOA (Southern California School Band
& Orchestra Association) judged festivals, one oncert at LAHS, and we end our season with a performance at Graduation
in June. The Wind Symphony is conducted by Mr. John Rush, and the Symphonic Band is conducted by Mr. Richie Sebastian.
2nd Semester Fair-share Assessment Expenses: Entry Fees $200 Transportation $1,500 Total Expenses: $1,700 Actual cost per student (62) $26.41
Required Performance/Concert/Festival Attire • Gentlemen – white button down long-sleeve shirt with a dark tie tucked into black dress pants/slacks (not jeans), belt, black socks, and black dress shoes (not marching band shoes) • Ladies – all black floor length dress and appropriate black dress shoes (no flip-flops or sandals)
