PACKET PICK-UP/PARENT ORIENTATION
When: Wednesday, July 14, 2010
Where: Behind the Performing Arts Center (PAC)
Who: MANDATORY attendance of at least one parent/guardian of families interested in participating in the Entertainment Unit
What: You will receive all necessary documents that will need to be completed and returned in order for your student to participate; Schedule and financial information will be provided as well.
Report Time: 7pm
Dismiss Time: 8pm
What to bring: Bring a blanket or folding chair (as seating will be on grassy hill that faces the PAC); Questions regarding upcoming season
Misc:  This is more than just a packet pick-up meeting. You will find out vital information regarding the upcoming season. If you are unable to attend, please respond to Christi Hensch, Booster Secretary (lahsbandsec@gmail.com) and indicate your availability. You will need to make arrangements to pick up packet ASAP.
 
UNIFORM FITTING (1 OF 4)
When: Thursday, July 15, 2010
Where: LAHS Instrumental Room 519
Who: ALL wind and drumline members (only need to attend one of the four fittings)
What:  To fit for uniform that will be used during the upcoming marching season
Report Time: 8:30am
Dismiss Time: 11am
What to bring & wear: ALL students must bring completed "Uniform Fitting Form," AND $50 Uniform Maintenance Fee. If needed, students must bring $35 payment to purchase shoes, and $5 for optional shoe bag. Returning students must bring black band shoes with them. Checks payable to: LAHS Band Boosters. Please arrive freshly showered and have on a short sleeved t-shirt and lightweight shorts (which will be worn under the uniform for all performances).
Misc: Uniforms are assigned first come, first serve. The sooner you attend the fitting, the better your chances at receiving a proper fit uniform

Who: Any Drumline member
What: This is a drum clinic that is being held at LAHS and is available for FREE for any of our current drumline members. Guest clinician will be Lamar Burkhalter.

What: You will turn in all required forms and documents along with the necessary forms of payment.

What to bring: Contract of Dedication, LAHS Entertainment Unit Apparel Order form, LAUSD Field Trip & Medical Authorization for Students, LAUSD Authorization to Treat a Minor (two small white cards); At this time, you may turn in the Sebastian Summer Spectacular Marching Band Camp Form and Parent Release with payment of $150 (payable to: Richie Sebastian); LAUSD Co-Curricular Activity Medical Clearance/Emergency Treatment/Medication Administration Form (yellow form) NEEDS TO BE RETURNED NO LATER THAN 09/01/09.
