MARCHING BAND SUMMER 2021 INFORMATION
Brass & Woodwind Workshops Tuesday, June 15 & Wednesday, June 16: 3:30 – 5:30 PM
Open to all New Students and incoming 9th graders as well as leadership team to work with LAHS Instrumental Music staff, develop performance techniques and receive summer music packets. No Experience Necessary!
Drum Line Workshops Wednesdays, May 12, 19, 26, June 2: 3:30 – 5:30 PM
Open to all incoming 9th graders and returning members to work with LAHS Percussion staff, develop performance techniques and receive summer music packets. Open positions include snare drum, tenor drums, bass drum, marimba, vibraphone, synthesizer, drum-set and auxiliary percussion. No Experience Necessary!
Color Guard Workshops Thursday & Friday, May 27 & 28: 4:00 – 7:00 PM
Open to all incoming 9th graders and returning members to work with LAHS Color Guard staff, develop dance and equipment techniques and learn about the color guard activity. Color Guard is a dance ensemble attached to the Griffin Marching Band in the fall semester, and as a stand-alone ensemble in the spring featuring Dance, Flag, Rifle & Sabre choreography. No Experience Necessary!
